Privacy Policy

DigDeeep counts your push-ups using the front camera, entirely on your device. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not collect.

The short version: your camera feed and body-pose analysis never leave your phone — no image, frame, or video is ever stored or transmitted. The only information that leaves your device is your sign-in identifier (Apple on iPhone, Google on Android) and your purchase status, used solely to run your account and subscription. There are no analytics, ad, or tracking tools of any kind.

Camera and push-up counting

DigDeeep uses your device's front camera to detect body pose and count repetitions in real time — Apple's Vision framework on iPhone, Google's MediaPipe pose landmarker on Android. Both run entirely on your device.

No photo, video frame, or camera image is ever saved to disk or sent off the device.
No pose or skeleton data is transmitted anywhere.
Camera access is used only while a session is active, and only after you grant permission.

Information we collect

Your sign-in identifier. On iPhone, Sign in with Apple provides a stable user identifier; on Android, Sign in with Google provides one. We use it as your account key and to anchor your free-trial and subscription state so they follow your account across devices and reinstalls. If you choose to share your name, we store only a first name to personalize the app. The iPhone and Android apps hold separate accounts — neither is linked to the other, and a subscription bought on one does not transfer to the other.
Purchase and subscription status. Whether you are on a trial, free, or paid plan, and which product you bought. This is handled through Apple or Google Play, and RevenueCat (see below).

Information stored only on your device

Your profile (age and biological sex, used to estimate your fitness ranking) and your workout history (rep counts, dates, streaks, and personal bests) are stored locally on your device — in SwiftData on iPhone, in a Room database on Android. This information is not uploaded to us.

Third-party services

We rely on two providers, both used strictly to operate the app:

Apple (iPhone) — for Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Google (Android) — for Sign in with Google and Google Play purchases. See Google's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat — to validate purchases and manage entitlements and trial state. It receives your sign-in identifier and purchase information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

What we do not do

No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites.
No collection of health, photo, video, or camera data.
No selling or sharing of personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data retention and deletion

Your on-device data remains until you delete it or delete the app.

Android. Settings → Delete account & data erases every session, streak, record and total on the phone and signs you out.
iPhone. Revoke DigDeeep from Settings → your Apple ID → Sign-In & Security, then delete the app.
Either way, you can email hkdavidr@icloud.com and we will remove the account data our providers hold — your sign-in identifier and purchase records.

Full instructions are on the data deletion page. Note that Apple and Google retain transaction records independently under their own policies, and that deleting your data does not cancel a subscription — cancel that in the App Store or Google Play.

Children

DigDeeep is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. To exercise any of these, contact hkdavidr@icloud.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
